How Pass Plus training works

Pass Plus training takes at least 6 hours. It has 6 modules, covering driving:

  • in town
  • in all weathers
  • on rural roads
  • at night
  • on dual carriageways
  • on motorways

All modules should be practical sessions, although local conditions may mean some are theory based. You’ll normally spend at least 5.5 hours driving.

You won’t take a test but you’ll be assessed throughout the course. To pass you’ll have to reach the required standard in all modules.

Passed my driving test weeks ago and completed my pass plus training today,

All with Mike’s help! Extremely happy with how I went from knowing nothing to learning so much.

Appreciate the patience - he explained things in a way that made it easy to learn.

Gave honest feedback throughout the lessons and he always ensured mistakes were put right immediately.

The pass plus helped me build my confidence more and taught me how to deal with motorway driving and above all else.

Driving safely! Couldn’t ask for a better driving instructor.

Young drivers are the most likely to be involved in an accident - according to nationwide statistics.

This means that car insurance companies will often charge a lot more to insure a young,

inexperienced driver. Insurance companies base their quotes on how likely you are to make a claim,

this means that higher risk drivers will be charged the most on insurance.

You should also try and think about whether or not the car that you are buying is going to be expensive to insure.

As a general rule the most expensive cars to insure are the ones with the biggest engines.

This is because more powerful engines are seen as harder to control,

especially for inexperienced drivers.

This means that insurance companies will see you as a higher risk person to insure so consider a car with a more modest engine size.
